About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Carer to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate carers to their allocated shifts in care homes across Scotland, while ensuring the highest standards of care delivery. The Senior Carer will also facilitate referrals to other care home services, supervise staff, and contribute to the overall quality of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and allocate carers to shifts across various care homes, ensuring effective coverage.
- Facilitate and manage referrals to other care home services as required.
- Train care staff to provide exceptional support for clients and residents.
- Assess staff training needs and ensure development opportunities are provided.
- Provide care home managers with accurate and timely information about staff availability and scheduling.
- Monitor and ensure the delivery of high-quality, personalized care to clients.
- Manage budgets and ensure financial efficiency within care settings.
- Recruit, train, and supervise care staff to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Collaborate with care home managers to meet staffing and operational needs effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior carer or supervisory role in the care industry.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of care home operations and UK care standards.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable.
